How to Connect Liquid with Koinly

Liquid has been impacted by the recent FTX Group bankruptcy filing and has halted withdrawals. The warning on the site currently reads, "We have just been instructed by S&C, who act for FTX Trading, to pause all forms of trading on our exchange because of the operation of the Chapter 11 process in the Delaware Courts."

We recommend users export all their Liquid Exchange investment activity to a CSV file as soon as possible to ensure you can easily report any previous taxable transactions. These records may also assist you in claiming a loss in the future should Liquid Exchange be unable to resume operations.

How It Works

The first step is to download all your data from liquid and import them into Koinly. There are a couple of ways you can do this:

  • As Liquid has an API, the fastest way to import everything is to just add your read-only API keys (api token id, api secret). Then Koinly will download all your history automatically and you are ready to create a tax form.
  • If you don't have access to your API keys you can also import transactions by uploading CSV files.
  • If you only have a few transactions and the above method(s) are not possible for you, you can also add the transactions one by one through Koinly's web interface.

Note that if you want to import CSV files, you have to make sure to import your deposits/withdrawals and trades for ALL years !

That's it. The only other thing to keep in mind is to tag your airdrops/forks so they show up as Income on your final cryptocurrency tax forms!
