How to Connect Bitstamp with Koinly

How to connect Bitstamp and Koinly automatically using API

On Bitstamp

  1. In your Bitstamp account, select your profile icon and select settings
  2. This is where you will see your User ID. Copy this ID (you'll need to paste it into Koinly later)
  3. On the left panel, select API access
  4. On this page, you need to set the relevant permissions. The only permissions that Koinly requires are account balance and user transactions. All other permissions should be turned off and you should not add any address filters.
  5. At the bottom of the page, select enter 2FA & submit
  6. Copy your API key and API secret that are now displayed
  7. Before the API can be used, you will need to select the activate button and confirm the activation through your email

On Koinly

  1. Sign up or login into Koinly and head to wallets
  2. Add a new wallet: Bitstamp
  3. Select set up auto sync
  4. Paste your API key, API secret, and User ID
  5. Select secure import

How to connect Bitstamp and Koinly using a CSV file

How to export your Bitstamp transaction history

  1. In your Bitstamp account, select deposit at the top of the screen
  2. Select deposits older than 90 days
  3. Select export
  4. Enable all transaction types and all currencies shown on this page
  5. Select a date range that covers your entire transaction history on Bitstamp
  6. Select export selection and your CSV file will be downloaded

How to upload your Bitstamp CSV file to Koinly

  1. Sign up or login into Koinly and head to wallets
  2. Add a new wallet: Bitstamp
  3. Select import from file
  4. Upload your CSV file
