How to connect Bitpay with Koinly

Bitpay is a payment service provider that specializes in letting investors pay in crypto (and businesses accept crypto payments), as well as offering a Bitcoin debit card, wallet and the ability to buy and store crypto. Whatever you're using Bitpay for, Koinly can help with your crypto taxes - you just need a CSV file of your Bitpay transaction history.

How to connect Bitpay to Koinly via CSV

Please note, to get your Bitpay CSV file you must use the desktop version of Bitpay. The mobile version does not have the export CSV file function yet.

On Bitpay

  1. Log in to the desktop version of the Bitpay app.
  2. Select the gear icon in the bottom right corner.
  3. Scroll down to the key that contains the wallet you'd like to export and select that key.
  4. Under the wallets section, select the wallet you'd like to export.
  5. On the wallet settings page, select transaction history.
  6. Select export to file.
  7. Save this file to your device.

On Koinly

  1. Sign up or login into Koinly and head to the wallets page.
  2. Add a new wallet: Bitpay.
  3. Select import from file.
  4. Upload your CSV file.

Good to know
If you have multiple wallets in your Bitpay app - you'll need to repeat the steps above for each wallet to get your complete transaction history from Bitpay. You'll then need to upload all these CSV files to Koinly.
