API Import CSV File Import

Here's what you should do

The first step is to download all your transaction data from zaif and import them into Koinly. There are a couple of ways you can do that:

  • As Zaif has an API, the simplest way to import everything is to simply add your read-only API keys. Then Koinly will import all your transaction data and you can create a tax form. Please note, the Zaif API is currently in BETA testing so not all users will have access to it. Not to worry - use the CSV file format.
  • If you don't have access to your API keys you can also import transactions by uploading CSV files. As Zaif is located in Japan, the headers for your CSV columns are only available in Japanese - which Koinly can't read. You'll need to amend the original CSV file you download. You can see instructions on how to do that here.
  • If the above method(s) are not possible for you, you can even add the transactions one by one through Koinly's web interface.

If you want to use CSV files, you have to make sure to import your deposits/withdrawals and trades for ALL previous years and not just the current one!

That's all you have to do. Don't forget to tag your airdrops/forks so they appear as Income on your generated crypto tax reports!
