How to do your Sophon taxes with Koinly
Sophon is a ZK Stack Validium Layer-2 blockchain built for consumer apps like gaming and social platforms, but if you have SOPH transactions, you may have a tax bill. Fortunately, Koinly can help calculate your Sophon taxes. All it needs is your transaction history. Here's how to import it.

FAQs
What is Sophon?
Sophon is a consumer-focused blockchain platform built as a ZK Stack Validium Layer-2 within the ZKsync Elastic Chain, designed to make crypto seamless in everyday apps like gaming, social platforms, and entertainment. It offers account abstraction (easy logins with Google/Apple), gasless transactions, and a unified operating system (Sophon Home, Sophon Account, Sophon+, Social Oracle) that simplifies onboarding while enabling loyalty rewards and verified digital identity. Powered by innovations like zkTLS for privacy-preserving verification of Web2 data, Sophon launched its mainnet in December 2024 and has raised over $70M from Binance Labs, node sales, and investors. Its native SOPH token supports ecosystem rewards, governance, and participation, with a large share allocated to community growth and node operators.
Is Sophon safe?
Sophon is generally considered secure, since it’s built on Ethereum via ZK Stack Validium, which uses zero-knowledge proofs to ensure transaction integrity while keeping costs low. It enhances safety and usability with account abstraction, gasless transactions, and zkTLS, which allows private Web2 identity verification on-chain. The ecosystem also promotes decentralization through Guardian node memberships and supports developers with AI-powered code security reviews. However, like all Validium systems, Sophon relies on off-chain data availability, which poses risks if not widely decentralized, and some community members remain skeptical of its hype-driven growth.
Does Sophon provide tax documents?
No, Sophon doesn't issue tax documents, but you can use a crypto tax calculator like Koinly to calculate your gains, losses, and income from SOPH investments and generate your tax reports. Just add your Sophon public address, and Koinly automatically imports your transaction history and calculates your taxes.
