How to do your Mantra (OM) taxes with Koinly
Mantra is a Layer-1 blockchain built using the Cosmos SDK, designed for the tokenization of real-world assets.
If you're using Mantra (MANTRA), you may have a tax bill. By syncing your Mantra read-only data to Koinly, it can calculate your taxes and provide tax reports. Here's how.
Follow these steps to sync your Mantra (OM) data automatically to Koinly:
- Open your Mantra (OM) wallet app
- Locate and copy your public address or key
On Koinly:
- Create a free account on Koinly
- Complete onboarding until you get to the Wallets page and find Mantra (OM) in the list
- Select API > Paste the public address/key you copied above in the appropriate box
- Hit Import and wait for Koinly to sync your data. This can take a few minutes
- Review your transactions on the Transactions page to ensure everything is tagged correctly and no missing data
- Go to the Tax Reports page to view your tax liability!
Please note that transaction history imported via this integration may be incomplete due to API limitations. NFT transactions, liquidity operations, and older activity may require manual entry to ensure full accuracy.

FAQs
What is Mantra?
Mantra is a layer-1 blockchain built on Cosmos SDK. It was built for the tokenisation of real-world assets (RWA), allowing on-chain trading of traditional assets, such as bonds or real estate.
Is Mantra safe?
Mantra is considered relatively safe and has several security measures in place. This includes their decentralized ID (DID) system, which streamlines user onboarding and KYC through soulbound NFTs. These NFTs cannot be traded or sold; they are tied to your account, essentially acting as a digital passport. They are also audited by Hacken. However, in early 2025, the $OM (now $MANTRA) token suffered a flash crash due to liquidation issues. Therefore, always DOYR on best security practices to protect your assets.
Does Mantra provide tax documents?
No, Mantra does not provide tax documents. However, with a tax calculator like Koinly, you can import your Mantra read-only data, and it will calculate your crypto taxes and provide tax reports.
