How to do your Klever taxes with Koinly
Klever is a layer-1 blockchain ecosystem that combines its own native tokens, developer tools, and multi-chain wallet to support dApps. But if you have Klever transactions, you may have a tax bill. Koinly can help calculate Klever gains, losses, income, and more. All you need to do is import your Klever transaction history. Here's how.
Follow these steps to sync your KleverChain (KLV) data automatically to Koinly:
- Open your KleverChain (KLV) wallet app
- Locate and copy your public address or key
On Koinly:
- Create a free account on Koinly
- Complete onboarding until you get to the Wallets page and find KleverChain (KLV) in the list
- Select API > Paste the public address/key you copied above in the appropriate box
- Hit Import and wait for Koinly to sync your data. This can take a few minutes

FAQs
What is Klever?
Klever is a blockchain ecosystem built around its own layer-1 network, designed to make decentralized app (dApp) development simpler through developer-friendly tools and its Klever Virtual Machine (KVM) for smart contracts. Its native token KLV powers transactions and fees, while the KFI governance token gives holders voting rights over protocol decisions. Beyond the chain, Klever offers a multi-chain self-custody wallet (Klever Wallet) that supports buying, swapping, staking, and portfolio tracking across major blockchains, plus tools like the KleverScan explorer. The project emphasizes decentralization by shifting governance toward the community, including token burns to reduce foundation control.
Is Klever safe?
Klever positions itself as a safe ecosystem by offering a self-custody wallet, meaning users control their private keys rather than relying on a third party, and it supports security measures like encryption and multi-blockchain compatibility. The blockchain itself is designed to handle fast, low-fee transactions with a focus on decentralization and transparency through its governance model. That said, like any crypto project, safety depends not only on the platform’s design but also on factors such as smart contract risks, token volatility, and the user’s own security practices (e.g., safeguarding seed phrases and avoiding scams).
Does Klever provide tax documents?
No, Klever doesn’t provide tax documents for investors. The easiest way to calculate your Klever taxes and generate a crypto tax report is with a crypto tax calculator like Koinly. By adding your Klever public address to Koinly, Koinly will automatically fetch your transaction history through the API, calculate your gains, losses, and income, and prepare the tax reports you need for filing.
