How to import data from Coinledger to Koinly

The first step is to download all your data from Coinledger and import it into Koinly. Here's how...

Follow these steps to download your CoinLedger data:

  1. Log In: Sign into your CoinLedger account.
  2. Open User Menu: Click on the user icon (or your profile placeholder image) in the upper right corner to expand the user menu.
  3. Navigate to Settings: Select 'Settings' from the dropdown menu.
  4. Access Data Tools: Within the Settings menu, click on 'Data Tools'.
  5. Export Transaction History: Click on 'Export Transactions History'. This will initiate the download of your transaction history.


On Koinly:

  1. Create a free account on Koinly
  2. Complete onboarding until you get to the Wallets page and find CoinLedger in the list
  3. Click on it and select "File import" in the import options screen
  4. Upload the files you downloaded from CoinLedger (one at a time) and click on Import
  5. Review your transactions on the Transactions page to ensure everything is tagged correctly and no missing data
  6. Go to the Tax Reports page to view your tax liability!
Notes / Limitations

The Coinledger CSV export has some limitations that need to be adjusted manually after importing:

  • Staking needs to be tagged manually
  • NFTs need to be adjusted after import
  • Liquidity transactions need to be adjusted manually
