How to do your Beam taxes with Koinly
Beam is an EVM-compatible Layer-1 blockchain, built as an Avalanche subnet, that powers gaming, AI, and dApps. But if you have BEAM transactions, you may have a tax bill. FAQs
What is Beam?
Beam is a sovereign, EVM-compatible Layer-1 blockchain built for gaming, decentralized applications, AI, and distributed computing, currently operating as an Avalanche subnet to leverage its scalability, speed, and security. It supports developer tools, including APIs and SDKs for Unity, Unreal, web integration, and asset marketplaces, plus features like self-custodial account abstraction and frictionless social logins. The native BEAM token powers the ecosystem, serving as gas, staking, governance, and burnable currency, while validators and stakers are rewarded handsomely.
Is Beam safe?
Beam is considered reasonably safe since it runs as an Avalanche subnet, inheriting Avalanche’s security and scalability, and has so far operated stably under a Proof-of-Authority model with vetted validators. Its ongoing transition to a permissionless Proof-of-Stake system (the Horizon upgrade) will open validation to the community, strengthening decentralization and resilience.
Does Beam provide tax documents?
No, Beam doesn't issue tax forms to users. The easiest way to calculate your Beam taxes and get a crypto tax report is with a crypto tax calculator like Koinly. With Koinly, just add your Beam public address, and it'll automatically import your Beam transaction history via API, and use this to calculate your gains, losses, income, and more.
