How To Connect Avalanche (X & P Chains) with Koinly

If you're using Avalanche X Chain for AVAX transfers or Avalanche P Chain for staking, you may have taxable transactions you need to calculate any tax due on. Koinly supports all Avalanche Chains to make tax reporting simple. All you need to do is add your X or P Chain address(es) to Koinly, and it'll automatically import your transaction history and calculate your gains, losses, and income. Here's how it works.

CSV

Follow these steps to sync your Avalanche X/P chain (AVAX) data automatically to Koinly:

  1. Open your Avalanche X/P chain (AVAX) wallet app
  2. Locate and copy your public address or key

On Koinly:

  1. Create a free account on Koinly
  2. Complete onboarding until you get to the Wallets page and find Avalanche X/P chain (AVAX) in the list
  3. Select API > Paste the public address/key you copied above in the appropriate box
  4. Hit Import and wait for Koinly to sync your data. This can take a few minutes
  5. Review your transactions on the Transactions page to ensure everything is tagged correctly and no missing data
  6. Go to the Tax Reports page to view your tax liability!
Notes / Limitations
  • Enter the public address without the chain prefix, such as X- or P-
  • Staking transactions need to be tagged manually - see Staking and farming tokens
  • If you used multiple public addresses with one wallet, you need to add all of them, separating them with a comma (no space between)
