FAQs
What is Arc blockchain?
Arc is a Layer-1 blockchain created by Circle (the issuer of USDC) and launched on the public mainnet on September 16, 2026. It uses USDC as its native gas token (EURC and USYC are also natively supported) and supports payments, lending, and treasury management. Arc uses Proof-of-Authority (PoA) with institutional validators including BlackRock, Visa, Mastercard, and the DTCC.
Is Arc safe?
Arc is considered relatively safe. It has strong institutional backing (BlackRock, Visa, and more) and several security features, including third-party monitoring of network activity to spot unusual behavior and a Bug Bounty program. However, Arc is still incredibly new, so you should always DYOR before making any investment decisions.
Does Arc provide tax documents?
No, Arc does not provide tax documents. If you are trading on Arc, you can import your transaction history into Koinly to calculate your taxes and generate country-specific tax reports.
