How to do your HitBTC taxes
What is HitBTC?
HitBTC is a popular crypto exchange founded in 2013 with more than 500 cryptocurrencies and 800 trading pairs available, as well as futures, staking, and an OTC offering.
Follow these steps to sync your HitBTC data automatically to Koinly:
- Log in to HitBTC.
- Select the settings cog icon in the top right corner.
- Select the API keys tab.
- Select new API key.
- Copy your API key and secret and paste into the fields in Koinly.
- Create a free account on Koinly
- Complete onboarding until you get to the Wallets page and find HitBTC in the list
- Select API > Paste the API keys you copied above in the appropriate box
- Hit Import and wait for Koinly to sync your data. This can take a few minutes
- Review your transactions on the Transactions page to ensure everything is tagged correctly and no missing data
- Go to the Tax Reports page to view your tax liability!
You will need to grant the Payment information permission after generating the API keys.
This API does not provide any trades for delisted pairs. These trades will need to be added manually or using CSV files
